ISVC08 will take place at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino which is conveniently located on the Strip in the entertainment capital of the world. Inspired by Monaco's playground - in both its architecture and activities - the Monte Carlo Las Vegas captures the elegance, excitement and romance of the famous city upon which it was based. Monte Carlo offers a full-service casino, nightly entertainment, shopping, sensational restaurants along with a host of other outstanding resort amenities. The hotel’s guestrooms soar above the Las Vegas Strip in a tower taking architectural cues from a French chateau. Guestroom amenities include luxurious marble baths with separate showers. Many rooms offer views of Las Vegas Boulevard, and all guestrooms provide high-speed Internet access at a surcharge.

Rates

We have been offered a very competitive room rate at Monte Carlo Las Vegas which is $59/night (single of double occupancy) between Sunday 11/30 and Wednesday 12/3. Monte Carlo has also offered us special pre- and post-conference rates, for those of you who wish to stay longer in Las Vegas. The rates are $169/night on Friday 11/28, $109/night on Saturday 11/29, and $59/night on Thursday 12/4. To make a reservation, call the hotel toll-free (1-800-311-8999) and mention Group Code: XISVC. Alternatively, you can make your reservation on-line by clicking here. Note that you will NOT be able to get the special rates unless you use the Group Code. Also, rates cannot be changed at check-in or check-out if you fail to mention the Group Code at the time the reservation is made.

The cut-off date for reservations is on 10/29/2008. Please, make your reservations as soon as possible since the Hotel cannot guarantee the special rates after the cut-off date! All reservations must be guaranteed with a deposit for the first nights guestroom and tax charge. If your reservation is guaranteed to a credit card, a first night's guestroom and tax charge, per guestroom, will be billed immediately to the cardholder's account. You should make every effort to inform the Hotel in advance of any changes to your planned length of stay. Due to Las Vegas's growth in popularity, it is not uncommon for hotel rates to increase on a daily basis a month out. Don't make the mistake of waiting to the last minute. Going from Monte Carlo to either end of the strip may take as long as 20 minutes and the cab fare may be as high as $20, depending on time of day and traffic. Walking from hotel to hotel can also take 20 minutes or more. Therefore, we recommend that you stay at Monte Carlo during the dates of the symposium. Reserving rooms through our group helps ISVC meet its contracted room block, avoiding attrition penalties which in turn can raise registration fees for future meetings. However, if you reserve your room through a third party or directly with Monte Carlo at a lower rate, please email admin@isvc.net so your nights can be credited to the group.

Hotel Features

The 90,000-square-foot Monte Carlo casino offers a broad range of gaming, from roulette to high-stakes baccarat. Dining runs the gamut from the exotic Asian pleasures of the Dragon Noodle Co. to the fine dining of Andre's. Also, the rollicking Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery, which features big copper-colored brewing tanks behind a glass wall, has six fresh brews to gratify the palate. Rooms are tastefully accented with brass fixtures, Italian marble and polished granite. The Monte Carlo Beach Club, which boasts a lazy river, cools visitors and is situated in a lush garden setting. World Champion Magician Lance Burton is dazzling audiences with his spectacular illusions in his namesake showroom. Burton also has a magic shop so you can take the fun home.

Airport

Las Vegas is served by McCarran International Airport, which is located 4.5 miles from Monte Carlo. Ground transportation depart regularly from the west side of the baggage claim area. Taxis will be available at the airport. The cost is typically $3.20 on the meter and an additional $2.20 per mile. A taxi from the airport to the Monte Carlo is typically between $15 and $20.
